Meat Locker
The goal of this 48-hour charete was to adapt an historic slaughterhouse into a museum featuring the history of the Roman Cattle Market (Foro Boario). The team mimicked the historic water troughs originally implemented in 200BC to reduce pollution and water runoff within the site. The undulating roof installation maximizes rain collection and drains into the new cistern within the site, alleviating waste from entering the already polluted Tiber River.
