I had the opportunity to study all over Italy.  Rather than focus on a single location, I chose to study the form of man, as depicted in statues, created by the greatest sculptors from Italy’s past.  The goal was to understand how sculptors distorted the human form to achieve balance and beauty in statues larger than man.
